I want to know more about the evil Black Ops CDC that shows up in this episode. They would also be useful in zombie movies.
This is the episode where the title always reminds me of James Tiptree (because F Emasculata could totally have been the title to a really awesome James Tiptree short story) and then the actual episode is always pretty disappointing because it’s not that.
I like the comic though! Good boil-not-leaning-into tips.
Aw man, how great would a “Screwfly Solution” episode be?
Scully’s been angry a lot lately. And is she looking a bit hunchbacked in the second last panel?
“The boils! The boils!!”
Not to knock Shaenon’s mad art skills, but that last guy looks more like the Galactus knock-off from The Tick than Big Poppa G…
This should also be run in conjunction with “What not to do in any horror movie situation, like ever. Weren’t any of use listening?!”
Lets be honest: I don’t think anyone in the X-Files watches horror movies, because NO ONE ever responds like they’re aware of what to do in these situations. Even the agents who spent all those seasons dealing with them.
Except the genie episode. It took Mulder 2 wishes before he figured out how to write the perfect wish.
Hmm…evil Black Ops CDC? Methinks our friend Seanan (or perhaps Mira) might know a thing or two about secret CDC projects… 😉
Panel 3: Hirschfeld reference?
You know, I don’t think you made it clear what we’re not supposed to do. Oh look, is that a giant pulsating boil… oh, crap.
OK, the panel with the evil CDC imitators is pure gold! Especially the “Breaking Bad” bit.
Mulder would so totally do what he does in the last panel. He’d even stick his fingers in the stuff.
I remember that I was annoyed because they mentioned my country as origin of the package and they showed insects we certainly do not have… we have nicer roaches down here LOL!
Like the big one at the end of War of the Coprophages? (I can’t wait for that ep here!!)
