I would totally watch a spinoff of the Satanic Adventures of Mrs. Paddock. Alternately, I would write and draw that spinoff. She is seriously fun to draw.
Loving your comics.. Can’t wait for more!
I remember dissecting a fetal pig in high school biology. First a worm, then a frog, and the pig was last.
Great shout-out to The Little Prince, which just turned 70: http://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/childrens/childrens-book-news/article/56625-the-little-prince-turns-70.html#path/pw/by-topic/childrens/childrens-book-news/article/56625-the-little-prince-turns-70.html
Love Scully’s one S-shaped eyebrow.
Holy alien babies, Batman, an ep I’ve never seen! Oh, I have GOT to watch this one.
“Not a hat” cracked me up as this is exactly the way I would have drawn it.
Just so you don’t get bushwhacked: there’s a pretty upsetting recovered-memories-of-satanic-ritual-abuse sequence in this episode.
one of my all time fave episodes, the ending is one of the best they ever did, and this made my friday! 🙂
“Not a hat” – this made my day. The Little Prince is an old favourite.
This was a good episode, even though it used the ‘water goes down the drain in different directions in the northern and southern hemisphere’ trope that always bugs me.
The pentagram in panel 7 is upside down, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it appeared in the episode as shown.
Now I have to watch this episode!
Bwah ha ha ha ha 😀
The bit that made me laugh out loud was “KLAATU BARADA NIKTO”. You’re a genius, Shaenon!
I thought it was clear what Mrs Paddock’s deal was. The town was founded by Satanist but the current town elders were lapsing in their faith. When the kids did the summoning ritual at the altar site they accidentally called up a demon who punished the elders for failing to make the proper sacrifices. Of course now that she has been summoned and not dismissed she is free to wander the world making mischief.
