Hristina, I agree completely with you. I always liked this one very much. It was so dark and disturbing, creepy and with a strange twist (although not as convincing as is should have been)

Old cinematographer’s secret: everything looks better if you slap a blue filter on the lens. As one of the directors of Xena: Warrior Princess said, “If you can’t make it good, make it blue.”

Mulder stubble, on the other hand, is a gift. If you’re not born with it, you’ll never achieve it.

I thought it was brilliant and super creepy. When I got to rewatch it again in colour, I was blown away by its superb cinematography and the eerie blue lights/shadows. I also loved Mulder’s characterisation (and his uber-sexy stubble and cheek stitches!). It remains one of my favorite S3 episodes.

Didn’t really feel the episode was all that well-written when it came to the twist. Oh well, they can’t all be winners.

No, I think it’s on constantly. The consistent high quality of your output is amazing.

To quote Tip, “Oh, so you think I can just turn it on and off like a faucet?”
