When I watched this episode I hadn’t never heard about the Jersey Devil (maybe Italy it’s too far to hear this kind of stories ahaha) so I hadn’t no fantasy or expectation about what I was about to see… I took this episode for what it was, a story about some wild people met the ‘real world’. From this point of view it wasn’t too bad… ahahaha sometime not knowing things save you from disappointment

This is one episode that’s better if you DON’T know the cultural context. Never having heard of the Jersey Devil, I just accepted it as a story about some kind of Wild Man myth. It was OK as that.
Had I been expecting to see the horse-faced, bat-winged, gangley spawn of Satan, though… hm. A lot less good.

If we’re still lacking Ed-filk by next week, I may try to fill in. But I’m afraid 1am is an hour at which I am incapable of writing Jersey-Devil-themed filk.

(Batman filk might be possible, but that’s because Batman is awesome enough to transcend all limitations of time, fatigue or consciousness.)

I've seen maybe four episodes of X-Files ever, but this is still hilarious. Also, I totally read all those Time-Life Mysteries of the Unknown books, too, plus most of another similar series I found at the library.
