In reply to David Morgan-Mar. Note that we did see Pendrell in the comic before, at the very least we saw him in Season 3, Episode 10 when he first appeared. He may have been in one or two other comics, but I'm not sure.

Hm. It seems the only part of this episode I remember really well is the shipper moment. And Pendrell’s death, which is/was upsetting. Other than that, this is one of the less remarkable mythology two-parters to me.

I love the panel of Mulder swimming towards the underwater flying saucer.
