Well, this site is an interesting surprise! Anyway, I recently went through the entire series on Netflix, and every episode is currently fresh in my mind. I found this episode very fascinating, but a logical problem began to churn in my mind: why didn’t more Jews build themselves an army of Golems when the German threat became unavoidable? Even if only a small number had the talent to build Golums, they could have made a difference. On the other hand, the legends do say that they are notoriously difficult to control from a distance. Maybe if they were fitted with short wave radios, but where are desperate civilians going to acquire those? Skilled makers who avoided the initial roundups could have joined the underground to help them make the most advanced golems possible, and THAT would include using denser material then mere dirt. A lugar at short range could penetrate ten inches of ordinary soil to any humans behind it, so to be effective shields, perhaps mixing in steel filings and fragments would be a big help. This could be a good story all its own…

I was so excited to see my people portrayed on the X-Files! Yeah, there were some issues (every time she said Tah-Tey my eye ticked) but I love love LOVE the comic version of this! Thank you so much for making these, I’m a huge fan!

Hey, I think I remember this one. At least they namechecked Sefer Yetsirah, which is a real thing (even if, as far as I know, it doesn’t actually contain a whole lot in the way of practical golem-building instructions).

Just discovered this webcomic today and had to read the whole archive in one sitting. Love it.

Your comments are as good as the comic. I loved the references to crazy ’70s politicians. But…I grew up reading comics by Chris Claremont, and I didn’t get the goth reference.
