I think this was probably inspired by ‘The Serpent and the Rainbow’? Anyway it’s kind of refreshing to see a show about zombies that isn’t about ‘The Night of the Living Dead’-style zombies.

Hey, I put a hand on your hand so you could grab things while you grab things. (I had to rewind the episode to rewatch that bit. So creepy!)

This is one of those episodes where Scully is uncommonly slow on the uptake. “Gee, this wound I got from a booby trap is taking a long time to heal, and I’m starting to hallucinate a little. But no time to deal with that! I have to investigate these puffer fish poisonings!”
